Toy Box
Join GRETEL MEYER ODELL (Flip the Script Consulting and the facilitator of the monthly sex and intimacy conversation salon, RIPEN at Community OutWitch) for a shameless and fun evening talking about sex toys and all the ways we find (or aren’t finding!) to get off and give ourselves much-needed pleasure and somatic connection.
Welcoming women, trans and non-binary folks for an open and honest presentation and discussion about sex toys and other methods of self-pleasure. Gretel will bring a giant tickle trunk of marvellous toys to show the huge range of designs and will share with honesty and directness some of the pros, cons and possibilities from different types of designs, including all her personal secrets and ways of ‘getting there’. We will discuss safety, lubrication, materials, quality and cleaning considerations as well as working to dispel the ‘ick’ factor that stigma and shame have created around having open discussions about sharing toys, masturbation, using implements of pleasure (by our selves OR with partners.)
You are ever-so-welcome and encouraged to bring your own go-to favourite toy or household object and share why that works for you, while learning and laughing as you hear how we all care for ourselves in private and busting shame about taking time to prioritize giving ourselves love and pleasure. We will also have an optional toy swap for anyone who has items that don’t work for them that they’d like to offer to others. So bring along any clean, unwanted items to offer in the swap and maybe you’ll pick up something new to try. These things aren’t cheap and so many lie gathering dust in drawers.
Price range: $20.00 through $30.00
